What is the world coming to...

Hello all.

Funny story. I read today through the school email that there is a huge controversy happening right now, in N.S., over street hocky.

You know, that pastime that almost every north american individual has taken part of at least once in their life? Ya, that one.

According to the story, complaints were clogging up the Police about a group of youngers playing street hockey. They were being "too loud". Ohh no!

The group was also asked to move their game to a different neighbourhood, 10 minutes away.

Now, let me preface the rant that is about to exit my mind by saying that I hate it when people are loud. Living in residence really helps you learn how precious silence is.

That being said, most people should be able to handle loud noises during daylight hours, that seems like common sense. Maybe they put something in the water where I'm from though.

There is such an issue in our world today with obesity and a worry about exercise, and here we seem to have a group of what can be assumed is made up of adults, complaining about young people being outside and having fun.

WOW.

Now, if the kids were being rude, or not willing to move for cars, I can see how people would be annoyed. But calling the Police? Really? I thought that the Police were put in place to uphold the law -I don't think there is a law about street hockey - , and 'catch bad guys' -_- or whatever.

No wonder people are forever being kidnapped, Police are too busy responding to calls about street hockey.

Grow up.

Maybe you should get out more, just sayin'.

I feel much better that I've said that.

:)
